Some Girls paid a visit to Templo duo,
Christina & Glenn,at their Bed-stuy studio to see what they have in-store for "A Current Affair" this weekend, May 13 & May 14. Templo houses some of the greatest names from Claude Montana to Courréges. Here's a sneak peak of Some Girls favorite pieces...
Do you feel you identify with a certain aesthetic for your shop?
I ALWAYS TRY TO THE FIND ITEMS THAT THE PEOPLE I ADMIRE WOULD BE INTO. I WOULD SAY, THERE'S NO ONE AESTHETIC, BUT IT'S MORE OF A CLOSET BELONGING TO SOMEONE I FIND INTERESTING.
Tell us how Templo came to be?
I'VE BEEN WORKING IN VINTAGE SINCE I WAS 19. I'VE ALWAYS HAD AN AFFINITY AND ADMIRATION FOR FASHION ESPECIALLY FASHION HISTORY AND SLOWLY STARTED TO COLLECT MY OWN PERSONAL ARCHIVE OF COLLECTIBLE VINTAGE CLOTHING.
Is there a certain thing that inspires the aesthetic for Templo and the pieces you choose?
MY VISION FOR TEMPLO IS FOR IT TO TRANSCEND INTO A CULTURAL PLATFORM OF SORTS. WHERE WE CAN COLLABORATE AND INCORPORATE VINTAGE AESTHETICS AND HISTORY FOR A MODERN PALETTE.
